Neuro Care Foundation is a community-driven organisation committed to advancing disability inclusion, empowerment and equitable access to opportunities for marginalised populations in Kenya.
The initiative is led by Juliana Auma, a disability rights advocate with over 20 years of experience in advocacy, program implementation, and community engagement. Her leadership is grounded in professional expertise and lived experience. As a caregiver to her daughter with severe spina bifida and hydrocephalus, she has developed a deeply informed, practical, and compassionate understanding of the systemic gaps faced by persons with disabilities and their families.
This dual perspective shapes the Foundation’s approach, ensuring that programs are realistic, inclusive and responsive to real community needs, rather than theoretical models. The Foundation has successfully worked with families, support groups and communities to strengthen resilience and promote inclusive development models.
We work with the Neuro Care Foundation to set up an Inclusive Skills Hub for youth with developmental disabilities who are underserved by traditional education and social systems in Kijabe, Kenya.
